As I have an interview with the grants committee this afternoon & must prepare many a manuscript, Power Point presentation (who on earth thought that was good website content? Some idiot?), a tray of cookies, and naturally also must iron a nice bottle-green shantung frock coat and matching swath of fabric for my hair, so as to look as cold and vivid and fascinating as that lady in Possession (another one of many young women I sort of admire being sort of inappropriately brought to the screen by Gwyneth Paltrow) (exhale) I have to keep things short. But. August 2nd was Paul's birthday, and I thought I should commemorate it with some kind of retrospective on the ladies he loves or something, except that's what the entire project consists of, but anyway I thought I should do something. Since all that I know for sure is that he celebrated his birthday with his family at Pizza Hut and enjoyed a cake that said "you pithy bard!" on it, there's not much I can do, so instead I have decided to promote his girlfriend's band. Because she is at least a lady he loves, and if she was famous I think the dynamic would be interesting, to say the least.

Then I just remembered that perhaps Paul's sister, who designed the website, wants to keep it under wraps for a while? So never mind, I'll withhold the information for a few minutes or so. Attendez.
