rush rush!

When I was in college I was in a sorority called "Miss Belladonna oh Miss Belladonna Please," and we were a weird sorority because we had a spelling bee to choose pledges and we did surrealist tableaux on the main lawn during rush week but we did them all in retro bathing suits, so the boys LOVED us. And we would have those dances where you brought the ugliest date, except instead you brought dates who were extremely conventionally attractive and the prize went to the girl whose date most belonged in a college novel and we took great pictures of the winner slow-dancing with her date. Also we painted each other's toenails to no end, and we had a secret handshake. I am reminded of this because it's autumn, and I remember our sorority house covered in lovely orange leaves.

That sounds like great times! My fraternity was much the same except we made pledges stab each other and then we read aloud from Rumblefish.

So why is everything censored on your site now?

Reading aloud from Rumblefish is amazing. You should have played Mumblety Peg, too.

Everything is censored because of the Man. Also, look at my "past" page and imagine where a little image file called "spacer.gif" might have been on that page. Then imagine where else that file could be on my site, and THEN imagine what would happen if you changed the file because you wanted photos to be censored but forgot that spacer.gif was used all over your site. Then imagine what would happen if you were too lazy to fix it.

???

If I were stupid, and if my golden curls were restrained by a black velvet ribbon, I would say, "My readers are getting curiouser and curiouser."
