Gullible's Travels
Chefelf
by: Chefelf

In the summer of 1993 Paul, Nate and Laura went to England. We'd like to say that after three weeks we returned to the United States with a better understanding of English life and culture. Unfortunately we were young and stupid so all we came back with was stories about hanging around the place we stayed watching "Telly". Also we went to see Jurrasic Park... great flick!

Nate kept a journal of his travels in Great Britain... Paul and Laura kept similar books but filled them with silly drawings. Presented here for the first time is Chef "Nate" Elf's English Travel Journals.... enjoy.

[The words in red are the words of Present Day Nate. You don't think that's too vain do you?]

Day 9
Saturday July 31, 1993

10:14 A.M.
Just took my shower. I don't know when but we're leaving today to go see Phantom of the Opera. This time it's just Paul and I. We can't get enough of the theatre. I have $600 left for the next two weeks. That's going to have to be enough to continue to experience England in all of its glory and get Paul the X-wing Expansion pack for his birthday when we return home.

12:39 P.M.
I gave to the Kidney Foundation. It's a noble cause. A group of crazed girls on the bus were admiring my back because I looked just like Jason Newsted before he shaved his head.

9:16 P.M.
After "Phantom" we went out to eat and had pizza at some place that played terrible music. Then we went shopping at a place that was run by careless Indians, it was great! At Paddington Station we saw Licorice All-Sort socks at the Sock Shop. Strangely we didn't see Paddington Bear.

[Today's grade: Reluctant a B-, we went out to the theatre, but of course continued to disappoint.]

End of Day 9
Next time: Paul and I hike through some woods and then see the movie Django.
